WHAT TO DO WITH NEEDLES AND SYRINGES LEFT IN PUBLIC PLACES ?

Needles and syringes left in public spaces nust be removed. How ?

• Take care of your safety. Wear shoes with thick soles to protect yourself from being pricked by the needles left behind. Never touch syringes and needles with bare hands!
• Reach the syringes and needles with a tool (pliers, tweezers, etc.). Do not touch them with your bare hands!

• put syringes and needles in an empty plastic bottle (a bottle of any juice, water, drink)

• close the bottle tightly with a plastic cap

• Dispose the bottle in infectious waste disposal facility
